THE SMALL TOWN SOCIAL®

THE SMALL TOWN SOCIAL®

Hey, girl! Wanna make friends?

Welcome to The Small Town Social®

The Small Town Social® is a female networking community based in Pinehurst, NC that helps grown women make great friends through thoughtfully curated gatherings, socials and other fun-tivities for females.

AS SEEN IN…

How it started

The Small Town Social® was started by Liz Fleming (with support from her gal pals Lisa Zimmermann, Hollie Fleck + Jessica Stuch) when they realized they wanted to make friends as grown women but just weren’t sure how.

Our first event was a hit!

We hosted our inaugural The Small Town Social® event on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at The Wine Cellar in Southern Pines. What started as a small conversation between us girls over coffee during one of my mastermind meetings in a local coffee shop, quickly snowballed into a full-blown social gathering only a few weeks later.

When 50 local ladies attended the first meetup, I knew I had to keep going.

Consciously
connecting thousands.

How it’s going…

Today, six years and over 50 events later, Liz is keeping it rollin'. As a Professionally Trained Connection Coach, she brings a unique skillset to the table for the women in her community.

She’s spent the last 15 years honing her interpersonal communications skills as an award-winning PR pro, developing transformative coaching methods, learning, experimenting and designing results-driven strategies to achieve the ultimate joy, success, abundance and peace in her life, which allows her to provide the ultimate experience for all of the women she now serves.

The Small Town Social® supports thousands of women throughout North Carolina and beyond with its popular socials, immersive personal + professional development workshops inside of its VIP Members Community, POWERHOUSE, and annual women’s gathering, GLOWCON.

The As to your Qs

  • We host ONE FREE SOCIAL per month. You sign up, you show up, you socialize - that’s it!

Our monthly ladies-only networking socials are free to attend (except for that glass or two of wine, beer or seltzer you purchase) but SIGN UP IS REQUIRED.

You can find event sign-ups on the event listings for each social here

We meet up on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at a different restaurant or watering hole to support local businesses on their less busy nights of the week AND because I cannot fit everyone in my living room at this point.

I host one free meetup per month. I announce events here on the site, in the Facebook Group, on Instagram, and via email (subscribers hear about workshops and other events first!)

    THAT'S IT.

Super casual. No big commitments. Come or go as you please. Fly solo, come with friends - I don't care as long as you say hi to at least one new person.

  • The Small Town Social® consciously connects WOMEN from all walks of life throughout Moore County, NC. We are a LADIES-ONLY networking and personal development group. Don't bring your dudes or your kids or your Tinder date (if that’s still a thing) to these events, they won’t have any fun and it will be suuuuper awkward. But, your dog on the other hand? By all means.

    Other fun facts:

    >> We are not just a drinking club.

    >> We are not just for military spouses or moms. We are for ALL women.

    >> We welcome women of all ages 21+ but 28-58 seems to be the most popular age range. We've had women in their 70s and 80s show up too. It's awesome. Friendship is timeless, baby.

STS is about bringing women together from ALL walks of life.

You AND your girlfriends are always welcome.

The only requirement is that you come with kindness in your heart + simply say hello to someone new.

  • Yes and no. Monthly socials are always FREE (but sign-up is required for each event). Without a price tag, you break down the first barrier to making a connection, which is stepping confidently into the room in the first place. It’s one less excuse for you not to show up for yourself.

In addition to one free social per month, we also host PAID personal development workshops like vision boarding, trips, activities, and our annual spring retreat each year for the ladies looking to deepen the relationships they have with themselves and others they meet in the group.

After years of requests by STS supporters, a formal membership community will FINALLY be available for you to join in 2024. This will be an extension of our free monthly socials if you're looking to expand your connections, explore your passions, embrace your individuality, pursue shared goals, celebrate achievements, nurture new friendships, and foster a vibrant and inclusive community to win together as women.

  • In 2024, STS will launch its first-ever formal membership community after years of requests by STS supporters.

This will be an optional extension of our free monthly socials if you're looking to expand your connections, explore your passions, embrace your individuality, pursue shared goals, celebrate achievements, nurture new friendships, and foster a vibrant and inclusive community to win together as women.

Stay tuned on our email list for updates!

  • Select apparel will be available for purchase in our online store SOON.

  • GLOWcon is a female personal development day designed by Liz Fleming of The Small Town Social meant to help women stimulate passions and step boldly into their power as women on the first day of spring.

    GLOW stands for…

    ✦ Grow your connections

    ✦ Learn something new

    ✦ Open your heart

    ✦ Win with other women

Here is all of the info and the waitlist for future conferences

  • You bet. The Small Town Social® is proud to donate a portion of proceeds from its paid events to The Children’s Legacy Partnership, which primarily provides educational support to young women around the world.
